Did you work at ESB Head Office, Fitzwilliam Street? / ESB Archives Tell us your story!
ESB Archives are undertaking a series of oral history interviews with staff who worked in Fitzwilliam St. Participation is on a voluntary basis, and we’d love to hear from all grades and departments – now is your opportunity to tell your story! What’s involved?
Each session will be a relaxed 30-minute chat in a comfortable environment. Conversation topics have been drawn up to guide the session, covering areas such as your role in ESB, the biggest changes you’ve seen ESB undergo during your time in Head Office, and your future hopes for the company. If you choose to participate, a full list of these topics will be provided beforehand. Sessions will be led by a member from the ESB Archives team, audio- and/or video-recorded and preserved in our company archive. What do I need to do?
Book an available timeslot here: https://esbarchives.youcanbook.me/.

We are starting the process with a number of available timeslots next week (beginning 6 November), and appointments are offered on a first come, first served basis. We still have a number of places available.
Interviews will be held at ESB Archives, Parnell Avenue, Harold’s Cross, Dublin 12 where there is ample parking. Please arrive 15 minutes before your allotted timeslot.
Why are oral histories important?
Your input is invaluable to us – oral histories provide a welcome addition to the written records in our archive, recording more colourful aspects of the company’s history in the staff’s own words. In taking part, you will be part of long-standing tradition at ESB Archives, which since 1991 has been capturing the unique stories of staff for permanent preservation and future inspiration. If you have any questions, please contact us at esbarchives@esb.ie.
