Death of Brendan Quinn (father of Neil Quinn and father in law of Noelle Heavey, ESB International) / Selina Duignan
The death has occurred of Brendan Quinn, father of our Colleague Neil Quinn and father in law of Noelle Heavey.
Our thoughts are with Neil & Noelle and their family at this sad time. May he rest in peace.  Funeral Arrangements from Death Notice are as follows:

Quinn – Brendan, (Sutton), 11th June 2017, (peacefully) in the loving care of Raheny Community Nursing Unit surrounded by his loving family, beloved husband of Eithne, very sadly missed by his wife, his loving children Mark, Margaret, Ruth and Neil, brother Dermot, sister Mary, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest in Peace
Reposing at his home on Tuesday from 5pm to 8pm. Removal on Wednesday morning to the Church of the Resurrection, Bayside for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Sutton. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Raheny Community Nursing Home. Enquires to Staffords Funeral Home 01-8743734.

Invitation: Celebratory Charity Cheque Presentation Event / Anne Cooney
On Friday 16th June, ESB’s Energy for Generations Fund is holding a celebratory charity cheque presentation event in the Canteen, Gateway 3 at 9.45am.
This year to date, the Fund has awarded €322,226 to 38 charities working in areas of suicide, homelessness and education disadvantage. On Friday we’ll present funding to three of these organisations – Blossom Ireland, The Salvation Army and The Iveagh Trust.
Please join us for a cup of tea and a Friday treat as we celebrate the fantastic work of these three organisations. All staff are welcome to attend. Event will last 45 mins.

Competition to Celebrate Men’s Health Week 12-18th June /
To celebrate Men’s Health Week 12th – 18th June, 2017 with the theme ‘It’s all about HIM’ ESB Health & Wellbeing are running a competition for 5 lovely prizes.
The competition is based on an amazing article by Richie Colgan, Engineering Officer from ESB Networks South Lotts Road who featured in ‘Doctor in the House’ in April on TV3.
Richie, who is from Swords in Dublin, has worked for ESB for almost 40 years. Alongside his wife and daughter, the Colgan’s took part in a life style change programme aimed at losing weight and feeling great.

Reminder: Presentation for Dave Dowling 15th June / Anita Rock
After almost 46 years in ESB Dave Dowling, Group Property, has decided that ESB has learned as much as it can from him and he has decided to move on.
During his time in ESB Dave has worked in a number of areas form the early days in Dublin City District, Fleet Street, Dublin South , Leopardstown Road, Dublin North West and in more recent times in Head Office Capital Projects in Group Property and HR Manager for ITS.
Throughout his career Dave managed many challenging negotiations most recently in the case of the smooth transitions from Head Office to Gateway.
Dave’s infectious optimism and massive doses of common sense will be sorely missed by his many colleagues and friends. Dave will be having a farewell presentation in the Waterloo Bar on Baggot Street from 5.30 on Thursday 15th June.
