A welcome to new and existing members to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu @ESB with Black Belt Andre Ramos starting tomorrow 17th May.
Well known as the most efficient grappling martial art and combat sport that focuses on ground fighting with the goal of gaining; Dominant position and using joint-locks and chokeholds to force an opponent to submit. It promotes the principle that a smaller, weaker person using leverage and proper technique can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant. Regardless of strength, size, or previous training, anyone can learn effective submission techniques. Nothing feels better than knowing you can take care of yourself mentally and physically. We will continue to progress the levels of training throughout the year. Rio Olympics – The Power Within
Electric Ireland kicks off its campaign ‘The Power Within’ ahead of Rio Olympics
As Official Energy Partner to Team Ireland for the 2016 Rio Olympics, Electric Ireland has unveiled its campaign The Power Within which will be rolled out between now and August.
The campaign includes TV, radio and digital outdoor and PR, features Boxer Paddy Barnes, Gymnast Kieran Behan, Rower Sinéad Jennings and Swimmer Fiona Doyle and will go live on RTE this evening ahead of the Six One and 9 O’Clock news on RTE 1.
We are also very proud to sponsor a six-part documentary series, ‘The Road to Rio’ which airs this evening, Wednesday 11th of May at 8.30pm on RTE 2. This documentary style series captures the highs and lows which are endured by Irish Olympic athletes as they train, compete and try to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
The Power Within is built on the insight that key to Team Ireland athletes success is their unusually high levels of inner belief and resilience which helps them to become part of the 0.0001% of the world’s population that can call themselves an Olympian. The Power Within is about giving Team Ireland athletes a platform to tell their own stories of how they have overcome disappointment and use their self belief to realise their dreams of becoming an Olympian. Our ambition is that these stories will inspire the Irish nation to look within themselves to find their own Power Within whether it’s the strength to plough through the final kilometre of a 10km run or find the courage to go for that job promotion.
Follow the stories at #ThePowerWithin.
