After more than 37 years of outstanding service, Mary McGovern will hang up her chefs apron in Head Office on Friday 11th November.

Mary has spent all of her service in the main Head Office kitchen baking her wonderful scones, fruitcakes and desserts which many of us have enjoyed down through the years.

Those of us who had the pleasure to work with Mary will appreciate her commitment and dedication to the ESB throughout her service.

Mary would like to invite her friends and colleagues in ESB to an afternoon tea to mark this occasion which will be held on 9th November in the Head Office Restaurant at 3pm. If you wish to be associated with Mary’s presentation, please contact Elaine McDonald ext.26420/Room A228 or Jonathan Kirwan ext.26760/D1B or Joe Mescall ext 27440/Hse 55 Rm 206.

The ESB Community has done it again, and come through for people in distress – you should all be quietly proud of yourselves!
As of Monday afternoon, staff and pensioners have contributed a magnificent €15,849 for the people of Haiti. Add in the €5,000 generously matched by ESB, and the €10,000 already spent by ElectricAid, and a fantastic E30,849 has been committed for Haiti!
Thank you all, sincerely. … and of course you can still donate at https://electricaid.ie/join-electricaid-esb-payroll/ – just remember to change the drop-down to once-off. Every Euro counts, every donation helps.
