Blue Monday 15th Jan / ESB Health & Wellbeing
The third Monday of January has been awarded the gloomy title of Blue Monday due to a combination of post-Christmas blues, cold dark nights and the arrival of unpaid credit card bills.
If you find yourself feeling low during the winter months, there are a number of steps that you can take to improve how you feel.

Flu Season 2018 / Health & Wellbeing Services
Along with welcoming in the New Year, we are also unfortunately welcoming in higher levels of flu across the country, with the HSE warning that these numbers are set to rise further in the next few weeks. Anyone, in particular those in the high risk category who hasn’t yet availed of the flu vaccination is urged to do so.
ESB provides a Flu Vaccination Programme to all employees to protect you from the flu virus.
You can get a voucher for yourself and your spouse/civil partner by ringing HR Customer Support Centre on 01 7026699 (option 3), or by emailing OneHR@esb.ie.
Attached is a poster with guidelines on what you can do to help prevent getting the flu, from hand washing to hygiene etiquette. Please feel free to print and place these posters in prominent places. You can download this poster here.

John Lenihan, Rosbrien, Limerick has taken leave of us and would like to invite you all to share a drink with him in Fennessy’s Pub on Friday 19th January after work.
