Eamonn Doyle, Operations NT, Dublin South Retires / Jason Kelly
Eamonn Doyle is retiring after a lifelong service spanning 49.5 years in ESB serving our customers in the Bray Area. Eamonn spent most of his long career working on network operations and fault response. Eamonn built up huge experience and knowledge of the Bray Networks over the years and operated at all voltage levels. Eamonn was very generous with his knowledge and helped train many apprentices (and experienced NT’s) over the years with special emphasis on safety. Eamonn has made many friends in ESB and will be missed by all.
To celebrate Eamonn’s long career in ESB, a party and presentation will take place in Bray Golf Club on Saturday May 25th at 8pm. If you wish to be associated with the presentation, please contact Liam Tyndall or Anthony Byrne.
Tom Frawley’s Retirement / Eamonn Farrell
After close to 50 years of dedicated service, Tom Frawley has decided to retire from ESB & dedicate his time to Limerick Hurling.
Over the years, Tom has carried out a number of roles, mostly in transmission, NRP & Timber bringing his vast knowledge and experience to each.
Tom’s wealth of Knowledge & experience will be greatly missed in his current role as CPG Timber Supervisor
Tom is hoping to celebrate his retirement, along with family, friends and work colleagues alike, on Friday the 24th of May in The South Court Hotel, Raheen Roundabout, Raheen, Limerick, Co. Limerick. All are welcome to celebrate this momentous occasion.
We hope to make a presentation on the night and anyone wishing to be associated should contact one of the following who will gratefully acknowledge every contribution.

ESB Golf Society – Captain’s weekend / Anthony McMackin
Francis O’Brien’s captain’s weekend is to Mount Wolseley on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th May. This is a superb golf course and this will be a very sociable weekend with a scramble team event organised for Friday , followed by Captain’s prize on Saturday and dinner etc on the Saturday night. All of this for just €100 !! The full details of the weekend are as follows:-
Friday 24th 12:30 – 15:30 Team Competition. Teams of 4 playing a scramble. Each team will be representative, where possible, of a combination of handicaps and men/ladies.
Saturday 26th 10:00 – 14:00 Captain’s Prize. 18 hole stableford Singles. Play will be in fours. There will be men’s and ladies competitions. Saturday 26th 20:00 sharp. Dinner in Mount Wolseley
The cost for the full weekend is €100. For one days golf it is €40, for two days golf it is €75. For one days golf and dinner it is €70.
Summer Badminton in Sportsco / Michael Murphy
The ESB Badminton Club are running two summer clubs in Sportsco and would love to see some new faces.
Thursday Night Summer Club (starts Thursday 23rd May and runs until end of August)
If you have played badminton before (level 3 down to level 7) then come along any Thursday 20.00 to 22.00.
Tuesday Night Beginners Club 20.00 to 22.00 (starts Tuesday 21st May and runs for 6 weeks)
If you are only new to the game and would like to learn how to play badminton then our Beginners Course on Tuesday nights will suit you better. Coaching is available to improve your game or just to get you started. Cost: €7 per night
