The death has occurred of Bill Tobin, father of our colleague & friend Sharon Tobin. May he rest in peace
Funeral details:
Reposing at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Crumlin Village on Tuesday from 6.00pm to 7.30pm with family in attendance.
Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11am in Church of the Presentation of Our Lord in the Temple, Knockmitten, Clondalkin and afterwards to Newlands Cross Crematorium. Family flowers only please

I wish to acknowledge all of the complementary and kind sentiments which I received during the days leading up to my recent retirement via email, text, telephone calls and in person. Anne and I had a wonderful and memorable night at my retirement function and I wish to pass on our gratitude for the great send off. It was nice to catch up with so many former and more recent colleagues. Best wishes to all and thanks again.

Reminder – Departure of Frank McManus, Smart Energy Services, Customer Solutions / Tom Mooney
Frank will be celebrating his departure from ESB on Friday 22nd February, in Kennedy’s of Westland Row, D2. commencing from 6p.m. with the intention of continuing on to the small hours.
You are welcome to join Frank on the night for an evening of refreshments and light banter.
Frank started in Head Office, in research & development, in Utilisation Section working in the area of energy conservation and he was implicit in building 6 energy efficient houses in Kilcock in the 80’s with EU funded money. He has now come full circle and is finalising his days in the R&D area of data analytics in Smart Energy Services having, in between, first provided customer service as key account manager, in the commercial and industrial sectors from his move into the energy supply business in Electric Ireland.
Frank (never modest) is well known for his many sporting and social achievements throughout the decades as member of the ESB Tennis Club, the ESB soccer club and the Old Fleet Street Golf society ( currently a Captains Day triple major winner). When treasurer of the ESB tennis club, yearly spend increased but also did the profits. This led on to his move into office “quizzes” which he proved to be a master at, as, as luck would have it, he often won first prize (all above board of course). More will be revealed on the night. Be there if you can, because Frank will!
