Farewell & Thanks

Betty Byrne is retiring /
Our friend and colleague Betty Byrne will retire on 17th June after 49 years of dedicated service with ESB. Betty joined ESB in 1973 working in the Head Office Restaurant where she soon made life-long friends with many staff.
After many years in the Head Office Restaurant, Betty joined the Cleaning Team taking pride in ensuring a clean and tidy workplace for all. On behalf of everyone in Head Office we would like to wish Betty a long and happy retirement and thank Betty for her commitment and service to ESB over the last 49 years.
Betty would like to extend an invitation to her friends and colleagues from ESB to join her in celebrating her retirement at 5pm in McGrattan’s Bar (for a drink and a chat) on Friday 1st July. If you wish to make a contribution to Betty’s retirement please contact Nuala Moloney, Christine Moloney or Ann Concannon.

Ray Wolfe celebrating his retirement / John Finnegan
Our colleague and friend Ray Wolfe has retired after more than 20 years dedicated service with ESB. Ray began his ESB career working as an NT for Construction Section in the old Tallaght Area in the late ’90s before transferring over to Metering Services Leopardstown in the mid ’00s where he has faithfully served the customers of Dublin South until his recent retirement on June 1st. On behalf of everyone in the organisation, I would like to wish Ray a long and happy retirement and thank him for his commitment and service to ESB over the last 20 odd years. Ray would like to extend an invitation to his friends and colleagues from ESB to join him in celebrating his retirement at 5pm in The Goat Bar & Grill on Friday June 10th.

Death of Lusmary Fraile Romero / Elaine Collins
It is with deep regret and sadness that I advise re the death of Lusmary Fraile Romero on 9th June 2022. Lusmary joined ESB in December 2019 as a Project manager and worked on many Generation & Trading projects during that time. She is fondly remembered by her friends and colleagues for her energy and enthusiasm and sunny outlook. She is survived by her two daughters Andrea & Sofia. May she Rest in Peace. Death of Gerry Bane, father of Alan / Mihai Diac
It is with great sadness that I inform you of the death of Gerry Bane, father of our friend and colleague, Alan Bane (Generation and Trading). Our deepest sympathies are with him and the family at this time. Gerry passed away peacefully on 8th June in Manchester, surrounded by his family. He will be deeply missed by Alan, his family, friends and neighbours. May Gerry rest in peace. Details of the funeral arrangements will be shared in the coming days.
