Farewell & Thanks

Norah Lyons is retiring in December / Andrew Giles
Norah joined ESB Independent Energy as a member of the Income Team in 2005, having previously worked in Siemens Ltd for a number of years. When the SAP Implementation Project began in 2006 Norah was the Project Income Lead. In 2009 Norah was appointed to a Customer Service Manager role and remained in this position until the ESB Independent Energy operation moved to Swift Square in 2011 to form part of the new Electric Ireland business. Norah spent the next three years in the Customer Experience and Quality Assurance Manager role before moving in 2014 to take up the position of Sales Manager (Residential & SME Markets) for Electric Ireland. From 2016 to the present time Norah has found her true home as the Risk and Compliance Manager in Residential Markets.
It is testament to the impact that Norah has had in fulfilling this role that when people think of Control and Governance issues they immediately think of Norah Lyons as someone they need to reach out to for assistance and guidance. Norah has spent the last few months imparting her considerable knowledge and experience to many of her work colleagues in both our ROI and NI operations.
I thank Norah for her tremendous contribution to ESB over the last 16 years and I wish Norah, her husband Willie and their family, continued good health and happiness to enjoy her retirement.
Due to current restrictions we cannot mark the occasion of her retirement in the usual manner but when the circumstances allow, we look forward to joining Norah and her family for a proper celebration. Andrew Giles
