Culture Night is coming to ESB this Friday!
In conjunction with Culture Night Dublin, the photographic exhibition, Turbines Through Time, will take you on a visual journey beginning in the 1920s with ESB’s ambitious vision to harness the power of water to electrify the fledgling Irish State.
Hosted in F27’s reception area, the exhibition will showcase the monumental infrastructure which has enabled the ESB to play a transformative role in the provision of renewable electricity, beginning with the construction of the Ardnacrusha hydro-station almost a century ago.
Carefully curated images will highlight how the ESB continues through its Driven to Make a Difference: Net Zero by 2040 strategy, to champion the historic legacy of Ardnacrusha by embracing the next generation of renewables; solar power, onshore and offshore wind projects.
Visitors can enjoy complimentary barista coffee and pastries served from the iconic ESB Volkswagen van or try their hand at generating their own kinetic energy with a handmade paper windmill.
The event will be taking place in foyer of the ESB’s headquarters at 27 Fitzwilliam Street from 4pm to 8pm this Friday, 22nd September. Don’t miss out!
