Farewell & Thanks

Enda Malone is retiring / Paul Doherty HV Stations, North
Enda Malone, HV Stations Ballina will retire on Friday next November 27th having served ESB well for over 46 years of dedicated service.
Enda, a native of Carbury Co. Kildare, served his time in Allenwood Power Station, commencing in 1974.
After his apprenticeship, Enda was offered positions in both Allenwood and Ringsend and chose the Allenwood job hoping to stay close to home.
However, a shortage of Staff in Bellacorick resulted in Enda heading “Into the West” for a “short” stint in late 1978, returning again in Summer 1979 where he ultimately settled and set up his home in Ballina.
Enda remained in Bellacorick until transferring to Networks, Ballina in 2002 where he soon established himself as a key member of the HV Stations Team.
We would like to thank Enda for his great service to the company- his good humour, quiet competence and steady manner, characteristics which contributed enormously to the Safe completion of numerous projects both small and large over many years.
On behalf of all his colleagues in both Networks and GWM, we wish Enda a long, healthy and happy retirement.
Due to current restrictions, we cannot celebrate in the usual manner but when the situation improves, we look forward to joining Enda and his family for a proper celebration (no doubt Enda will raise the roof, with a little persuasion!)
Regards, Paul Doherty-HV Stations Supervisor- ESB Networks, Project Delivery North.
