Farewell & Thanks
Our friend and colleague John Cregan has retired after 43 years of loyal service.
John started his career in what was then the Cost & Management Information unit in Rosbrien Limerick. This was followed by four years in Payroll. He subsequently moved to Bishops Quay in Limerick where he was involved in the Billing activity and later moved to Credit Control where he found his true home dealing directly and indirectly with customers, including some of the largest users in the country. It was during this period that he acquired an accounting qualification.
His next move was to Inactive accounts section where his excellent attention to detail helped the unit to achieve fantastic results. In recent years he was an important part of the ESB Medical Provident Fund team and his final ESB assignment was on a project for ESB Pensions.
John’s kindness , helpfulness, honesty and witty insights made him a very popular team member. His commitment to his job was always top class and when John had a query to resolve you could rest easy in the knowledge that it would be solved.
On behalf of ESB MPF and all his colleagues I would like to wish John a long and happy retirement and thank him for his dedication to ESB over the last 43 years.
