Farewell & Thanks

Dave Byrne is retiring / Killian Morgan
After nearly 43 years’ service, Dave Byrnes is set to ride off into the sunset this week. Dave has enjoyed an extensive career in different roles and a range of locations. He started as an apprentice fitter in Ardnacrusha and from there moved to Test Services in Head Office providing advice to generating stations around the country. He then moved to Rosbrien and the Planning team in the Customer Services business in Networks and finally found his way home to Enniscorthy and the New Business team where he has spent the last 18 years providing expert advice to customers, colleagues and a wide range of other stakeholders. He has developed and sustained a reputation as an expert on all aspects of the commercial business and has guided countless customers through the connection process with all queries dealt with in a practical and straightforward way. He will be greatly missed by colleagues from across the business and by customers and external stakeholders who have had the pleasure to deal with him throughout his ESB career. On behalf of all his friends and colleagues in the company I would like to wish him a long and happy retirement. Unfortunately, due to the current restrictions, we can’t celebrate Dave’s retirement in person at this time but hopefully we will be able to have a suitable event later in the year. In the meantime we will have an online event on Thursday at 3.30pm to say goodbye.

RIP
