He served, initially, as one of the Resident Civil Engineers for the construction of Moneypoint in County Clare, gaining significant experience of Power Plant construction something that was to shape his career . He took leave of absence to spend two years working on Water Supply with Concern in Tanzania which reflects his commitments to working for the good of others. His involvement in onshore Wind Projects saw him take up the position as Manager Renewables Development Group in the Civil and Environmental Department. During his long and successful career he has contributed greatly to the design , development and construction of a very significant range of projects particularly in the thermal generation and wind generation sectors for both ESB and International clients.
