People Leaving

Joe Crowe is retiring / Therese Doherty
After many years of service, our friend and colleague Joe Crowe is retiring. To mark his departure, Joe would like to invite his friends and colleagues to join him in: The Springfield Hotel, Leixlip on Friday 20th March at 8.00pm.

Sean Brennan is retiring / Mick Moran
Sean joined ESB nearly thirty years ago starting on the outdoor Staff in the Carlow and Athy Areas. In 1994 completed a Trainee Linesman course and would go on to become a high knowledgeable, innovative and respected Linesman in the Carlow Area.
As work programmes ramped up, Sean turned to Clerk of works for Major OH line contractors working in the South East before going into design. Designing both MV and 38kV, Sean took on many challenging projects including McDonagh Junction in Kilkenny and the M7 Motorway. One of few people to carry out both customer and 38kV design, Sean once again rose to the challenge and quickly became an invaluable part of the South East design team.
In 2012 Sean moved to Customer Services in the Arklow Area serving as the single point of contact for customers, businesses and the public for the Tullow Hackettstown Area.
Sean’s approachable and professional demeanour along with his wealth of experience is a significant loss to ESB and for all who worked with Sean over the span of his career we wish him and his family all the best.
The Staff in the Carlow Social Club are holding a retirement lunch for Sean on the 20th March 2020 at 13.30 in Reddy’s Restaurant Tullow Street Carlow. If you need any further information, please contact Mick Moran on 087 2500373

The Society has been going since the early 1980s and is recognised as one of the best-run anywhere in Ireland. Apart from playing top quality courses you stand to benefit from: • play on courses you might only dream of otherwise
