Bernadette Power is Retiring / Hugh Cunningham
After more than 40 years with ESB Bernadette has decided to take her well-earned retirement. Bernadette started working in ESB on 26th of March 1979 in the Drawing Training Office in Head Office. Following two years there, she joined the Transmission Department in Merion Square, working on 110 kV substation projects. She then moved to ESB International in 1989.
Bernadette will retire on Thursday the 25th of July and we will have a small gathering of friends, family and colleagues to mark the day in One Dublin Airport. For further information please contact –

Ian Whitehead is retiring /
Ian would like to invite his colleagues and friends from over the years to join him and Cathy for a drink in The Hairy Lemon in Dublin (https://thehairylemon.ie/ ) from 6pm on Friday 12th July.
After 23 years of working for ESB and 45 working years in total Ian has decided to retire.
Ian started his career working on the construction of Hinkley Point B nuclear power plant in 1974. He joined ESB in 1996 at Corby power station as a Shift Manager. He worked there until early 2007 and then moved to Rousch in Pakistan as a Project Engineer, followed a couple of months later as Plant Manager. He left Rousch at the end of 2012 and moved to the UK as GB Windfarm Manager, looking after Fullabrook, Betws and West Durham. In 2016, he moved to Malta as Plant Manager of Delimara 4 a new independent power station built by Siemens. In 2018, he moved to Tilbury Green Power as Contracts Manager. He has made a tremendous contribution to ESB in his many different roles and will be greatly missed both professionally and personally.
