Death of Michael Clancy, RIP, father of Mick Clancy, Safe & Sound / Jimmy Flynn
It is with sadness that we share the news of the death of Michael Clancy, father of our friend and colleague, Mike Clancy. Michael passed away on the 16th September. A private funeral will take place at 11.00 am. on Friday 18th September at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Oughterard, Co. Galway. We offer Mike and his wider family our sincere sympathies at this very sad time. Condolences can be left on rip.ie May Michael Rest in Peace.

Death of Margaret (Peggy) Whyte, wife of Liam Whyte, NT Ck-on-Shannon / Seamus Reilly

The death has occurred of Margaret (Peggy) Whyte (née O’Dowd) Emlagh, Carrick-on-Shannon, Roscommon / Carrick-on-Shannon, Leitrim. Suddenly on 15th of September 2020, ( Spouse of Liam Whyte, NT Ck-on-Shannon & sister in law of Emer McGowan Ex Apprentice Co-Ordinator) Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Josephine. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Liam, sons Paul, Colin, Joseph and Jason. Her sister Clare, grandchildren James, William and Eve, daughters-in-law Sonya, Kate and Susannah, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews relatives and a large circle of friends. Funeral arrangements; Removal to Cootehall Church on Saturday 19th for funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Drumlion Cemetery. In compliance with the current Government Guidelines on public gatherings, those who would have liked to attend the funeral but are unable to do so due to COVID-19 restrictions can leave a message of sympathy in the “Condolences” section below. The family appreciate your sympathy, support and understanding at this time. Our Thoughts & Prayers are with Liam & all his Family at this very difficult time. May Her Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Reach out and move / ESB GAA Club
ESB GAA Club invites you to Reach out & Move. In conjunction with GAA For All National Inclusion Fitness day & the European Week of Sport 23-30 September, we are inviting everyone to get involved in something that is active & inclusive. Active how? It doesn’t have to be a GAA activity – just anything that gets you moving! E.g. Walking, Running, Skipping, Gaelic football or hurling / camogie training / fun games, Swimming or Dance – you choose. Inclusive how? Reach out & Invite anyone that might not have the opportunity to participate in organised sport…. e.g. Make it Multicultural, Make it a Pride event, Make it a multi-generational event – how many ages can you include in your activity? Make it a multi-ability event So get your thinking caps on! We will ask people to submit photos / updates of their events during the week 23-30 September. In the meantime, if your local GAA club is hosting an event or if you have any inspiring stories or ideas (whether they are club related or not), please let. us know – we can all do with some inspiration! Use the hash tags #ESBGAA and #GAABelong and #BeActive on Yammer & any other social media.
