Farewell & Thanks

Noel Ryan, NT Tipperary is retiring / Paddy Gorman
After Forty years’ service Noel has decided to retire and his last working day will be Friday the 26th June Noel has spent most of his time in his Beloved (Blue and Gold) apart from a few years based as an EO in the (Green and White) of Limerick. A Complete transfer was never an option.
In his long career in ESB Noel has been a loyal and excellent work colleague to any one that has had the good fortune to work with him.
Noel will be greatly missed by his friend and work mates in CPG where he was the trouble-shooter for many a problem (where do we get an MO now?). We would like to extend our sincere best wishes to Noel on his retirement from ESB and to wish him a healthy and happy retirement. Due to COVID Restrictions Noels function well be convened at a later date where we will be expecting a rousing rendering of Sliabh Na mBan .

Mick Mongey, Solution Architect CIO is retiring / Barry Power
After over 38 years of dedicated Service to ESB, Mick has decided to call time on his long and varied career.
Mick joined ESB as a surveyor in 1982 in the distribution organisation, and has made a significant contribution in a very varied career in areas such as IT consulting, Project Delivery and most recently working as a Solution Architect in the CIO where he supports the Generation and Trading organisation.
Mick has been a great colleague, and friend to many of us across the organisation and has a brilliant capability to build and sustain relationships that have lasted throughout his career in ESB.
Mick is well known for winning the ESB Liffey swim in 1997 and continues to be an active open sea swimmer and water polo player with St.Vincents SC.
Mick’s last effective working day is Friday week the 3rd of July – All his colleagues & friends in CIO and beyond send him best wishes for a happy & healthy retirement.
Due the current circumstances, Mick has had to postpone his retirement celebrations, but we look forward to celebrating with him at a later date.
