Farewell & Thanks

Andy Coffey is retiring /
As many of you will be aware, Andy Coffey, Design EO in Dundalk and Drogheda is retiring next Tuesday, 29th Sept. Andy started his career in ESB as a General Worker. He progressed through the ranks to be a trainee linesman and moved into Transmission Overhead Line work. Andy also worked on the 110kV live line (which not many have done in ESB), before finding his niche as a Design EO in the Drogheda Area where he made invaluable customer and building contractor contacts and designed some major developments across the Drogheda area. Andy recently got married to his partner Sharon and he has one Daughter, Andrea and he intends to spend some quality time with Sharon and Andrea making the best of retirement life. When speaking to people about retirements over the last few months, when Andy is mentioned the words used by people are “Admirable”, “Diligent in his work” and “a Character”. This really tells its own story about Andy and what people thought of him and the friendships he has made throughout his career in ESB. Andy, you will be greatly missed by all of us in Dundalk and Drogheda and I would like to start the ball rolling by saying best of luck for the future. Thank you for all the laughs and hard work for ESB over your 38 years’ service.

RIP
