Newly published book titled Powering the Nation /
Powering the Nation: Images of the Shannon Scheme and the Electricity of Ireland by Sorcha O’Brien has recently been published.
The book, may be of great interest to some ESB employees with an interest in Irish history and the foundations of the company at which they work.
The book is beautifully presented and full of fascinating images from the ESB archive; it shows how the ESB was at the centre of the greatest industrial initiative of the fledgling Irish Free State.
