Death of Frances Phelan mother of Joe Phelan Portlaoise /
The death has occurred of Frances PHELAN
Clonincurragh, Mountrath, Laois
Frances Phelan (neé Mc Coy), Clonincurragh, Mountrath, Co.Laois, (and late of Ballingarry, Co. Tipperary). Died 20th January 2019, (peacefully) at home, in the tender loving care of her family, much loved mother of Tom, Mary, Eddie, Frances, Geraldine, Joe, Sarah, and Margaret, Sadly missed by her sons, daughters, her 32 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends. May She Rest In Peace
Reposing at her home on this Monday, with Rosary at 9.0’clock. Removal on Tuesday morning to St. Edmund’s Church, Castletown, for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, followed by Burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Mountrath.

Death of Tommy Perkins, RIP – father of Tom, NT Leopardstown Rd /
The death has occurred of Tommy Perkins, father of our colleague and friend Tom Perkins, NT Leopardstown Road. May He Rest in Peace.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Tom and his family at this sad time.
PERKINS, Arthur (Tommy), late of Ballygall – January 18th 2019 (peacefully) at home in the loving care of his family.
Tommy, beloved husband of the late Julia and adored Dad of Eithne, Sheila, Rosaleen and Thomas.
Lovingly missed by his daughters and son, sisters Georgina and Evelyn, brother Alfie, sons-in-law Chris and Ivan, daughter-in-law Louise, granddaughters Amy, Megan and Zoe, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
The funeral for Tommy took place today at Mother of Divine Grace Church, Ballygall (10am Mass), followed by Cremation at Glasnevin Crematorium.

Retirement of Joe Carr, Lifting Ger Maintenance F&E, Dundalk. / Paul Dennehy
After almost 44 years’ service with ESB, Joe Carr will be officially retiring on Friday 8th of February 2019.
Joe started his apprenticeship in Dundalk all those years ago and spent a time working in Dublin before returning to Drogheda as a senior jointer where he passed on his extensive knowledge to many. He also spent some time on the switch board and spent the latter stage of his career carrying out statutory inspections as a member of the Lifting Gear Maintenance Team in the North East for F&E.
Joe has made many good and long standing friendships in ESB and will be missed by all and we wish Joe and Ann every happiness and success long into the future.
Joe would like to welcome his current and former colleagues and friends to his retirement function in Byrne’s pub, Hill Street, Dundalk at 8p.m. on Friday 8th of February at 8.00p.m. If you would like to be associated with a presentation to Joe please contact John Harlowe, Galway or Paul Neary & Francis Bergin Dundalk.
