Death of Dan Lalor father of Willie Lalor, Portlaoise /
The death has occured of Dan Lalor, father of Willie Lalor, Portlaoise Construction. The funeral arrangements are:
Reposing at his residence on Wednesday 6th from 4 o clock with Rosary at 8 o clock. Removal on Thursday morning at 11.20 to arrive at Saint Michael’s Church Timahoe for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Timahoe. House private on Thursday morning please.

Death of Mary Cogan (sister of Kieran) / Mark Madigan
The untimely death of Mary Cogan occured on the 1st September last in Cork University Hospital. Mary is sister of our colleague Kieran Cogan. Our Thoughts & Prayers are with Kieran & his Family at this sad time. May She Rest In Peace.

Death of Mother of Oliver Kelly, retired from Athlone Garage, Fleet & Equipment. Arrangements are as follows: The death has occurred of Norah KELLY (née Bigley)
St. Paul’s Tce, Athlone, Roscommon / Athlone, Westmeath

In her 99th year, peacefully in the tender care of the management & staff of Mowlan Nursing Home, Moate. Predeceased by her loving husband TP. Deeply regretted by her loving sons Oliver, Richie, Joseph, & Brian, daughters-in-law, Mary, Kathy, Anne, & Mary, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relativies, neighbours, & friends.
Reposing at her son Oliver’s residence, (Curryroe, Drum), on Wednesday from 2 o’clock to 7 o’clock, with removal to SS. Peter & Paul’s Church, Athlone arriving at 8 o’clock. Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday at 11 o’clock followed by burial in Cornamagh Cemetery. May She Rest In Peace.

Energy for Generations Fund Update / Anne Cooney
The summer funding round of the Energy for Generations Fund saw €168,400 awarded to 23 charities across Ireland, all working in the areas of suicide, homelessness and education access and support.
€50,000 of this was awarded to Cork charities, with recipients including The Next Step (€6,000), Love and Care for People (€7,470), Baile an Aoire (€16,000) and Field of Dreams (€21,000).
A special cheque presentation event was held on Tuesday 5 Sept in Aghada Generating Station to mark this funding round. Many thanks to Liam Ring and everyone at Aghada for hosting such a great event!

Mindfulness Introductory Course, Raheny, D5 / Noreen Kelly
Mindfulness Introductory Course begins on Wed 13th Sept 2017 @ 19.30 in The Capuchin Friary, Raheny Road, Dublin 5. Course consists of 6 weekly 2 hour sessions from the 13th Sept until 25th Oct.

After an impressive 48 years service James Murphy NT Midleton has decided to call it a day and pursue his interest in greyhound racing in the hope of bring a major to the Ballymacoda homestead.
