Retirement of John O’Gorman, HR & Support Manager, ESB Networks / Denise Fannin
It hardly seems possible, but after 37 (and a bit!) years, Route 66 is calling to John O’Gorman and he has decided to hang up his HR boots and to retire from ESB. Having held many positions in ‘Distro’ in the early years, John then became one of the few Dubs that bucked the trend and moved out of the capital to the West. After working as a CSE in Sligo for a good spell, he got a call to temporarily move back to Dublin as part of the Transform team, and never really got to go back on a permanent basis – as happens! In recent years, John has made a huge contribution to ESB Networks as both Head of Distribution & Customer Service and HR & Support Manager.

John will not be finally retiring from ESB for a few weeks yet, but his last day at work will be Thursday, 13th April. I know John’s many friends in Dublin, Sligo and elsewhere around the country will want to help him celebrate his retirement. The date to mark in your calendar is Thursday 27th April, at 6pm in the Grand Canal Hotel (across the canal from Clanwilliam House).

If you would like to make a contribution towards John’s retirement collection, please contact Denise Fannin, 5th Floor, Clanwilliam House, Dublin 2 or at Ext. 26632. Marguerite Sayers
