Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal / Kevin Young
Team Hope were on to me about the following changes!
As you’re very aware this year is a very different one for all of us. As a result of the effects of Covid-19 restrictions, it is not possible to send gift-filled shoeboxes from Ireland this year. Instead, Team Hope will be encouraging people across Ireland to work together, in any way they can, to take part by donating gift-filled shoeboxes online for €20 each. Team Hope’s network of partners in Africa and Eastern Europe will then use this to purchase items for shoeboxes, which will then be given directly into the hands of children affected by poverty.
From September 1st you’ll be able to build a box online selecting some of your favourite items from the 4W’s and you can get creative with activity sheets, which can be coloured in and uploaded with your donation to tell the child who gets your box a little more about you!
Like us, you may have already started gathering some items for your shoeboxes. Thank you so much! We hope that you’ll be able to keep these so that we can get a head start for what we hope will be a return to normal in 2021.
