Steam Museum, Straffan looking for volunteers /
Drivers required for seasonal Sunday afternoon heritage demonstrations, at the Steam Museum, Straffan http://www.steam-museum.com/ Would suit someone from engineering background or someone with an interest in Industrial Heritage. Apart from running the stationary engines in steam, working help on oiling up, cleaning and light maintenance is also required. Although the work is not arduous, a reasonable level of fitness would be beneficial. Apart from an empathy for machines, no previous experience is needed as the engineer driver will provide training in what it is required. He will remain with you until he is satisfied you are competent to run the engines and deal with any situation that may arise. Enquiries to Richard Selway by email: info@steam-museum.ie
