Anne O’Rourke, Procurement is retiring / Regina Keane
Anne O’Rourke, Group Sourcing Procurement, Enterprise Service is retiring on 30th June 2021. Anne started her career in ESB in Dublin on 5th May 1980 and has 41 years’ service. She moved to Cork when she was getting married in the late ’80’s. Anne worked in a variety of roles in Cork – Customer Accounting, Production Support, Team Leader in Meter Reading, DuOS Billing, Operational Purchasing before moving to Group Sourcing Procurement in Enterprise Services.
Since 2015, Anne has been the SRM Super User, mentor and champion for all Network Shoppers/Approvers, and has completed over 20 training sessions in Cork, Portlaoise and Dublin. She was considered to be the go-to -SRM contact for ESB Networks personnel, amongst her other duties. Anne played a huge role in the successful implementation and sustainment of SRM in Networks.
In relation to Project Leap, Anne’s expertise and support in ensuring the smooth transition of SAP SRM, as well as work in the high-level design phase, to the new SAP4Hana environment was a critical success factor for the Project Leap Procurement Workstream.
Anne was always well liked and respected by everyone who dealt with her. During her time both in Production Support and Group Sourcing Procurement she worked with many of the local managers who only ever had wonderful things to say about her.
She’s a great shopper and loves her fashion, so will enjoy many days of shopping when she retires.
Unfortunately due to Covid 19 related restrictions we cannot celebrate Anne’s retirement in person, but it is hoped to organise something in the future to celebrate her retirement.

Sudden death of Ellen Higgins, (former HO Canteen) / Elaine Mc Donald
It is with deep sadness that I announce the sudden death of our former colleague Ellen Higgins (HO Canteen).
Ellen will be sadly missed by her Husband Sean, Daughter Laura and Son William and her extended family and friends.
Her remains will be in Flanagans Funeral Home, Willbrock, Rathfarham,Dublin 14 tomorrow Friday 18th June from 11am until 4pm.
