Thank you from John Gallagher /
A big thank you to everyone associated with my retirement presentation in the Waterloo Bar on the 1st of December. My family and I were delighted and humbled by the large crowd that turned up on the night for an occasion which we enjoyed to the full and will remember fondly into the future. It was great to spend such a lovely evening together with friends and colleagues, past and present, with a special word of thanks to those who travelled long distances to be there.
Thanks also for the numerous phone calls, emails, text messages and cards wishing me well on my departure and for the future. Also a big thank you for the very generous contributions to my presentation – I was quite taken aback by this generosity! Thanks as well to Athlone Benevolent Association for their kind contribution.
Finally I would like to thank Paul Hickey for doing the honours so expertly and to Denise Fannin, a special word of thanks for organising the whole event so efficiently and excellently.
As I bow out of ESB I want to thank everyone I have worked with over the past thirty five years for all the enjoyment I derived from my career in the company – I leave with very fond memories! Best wishes to everyone for Christmas and for the future!
