Farewell & Thanks

Sheila Guilfoyle is retiring / Seamus Devine
After more than 40 years of outstanding service, Stella Guilfoyle, Business Support Team, Portlaoise has decided to call time on her ESB career and move on the next chapter of her life. Stella will retire on 30th October.
Stella has had a very varied career in ESB over the years. She started in Stores, spent some time in Consumers Unit, in Service Repair, Contracts and in Public Lighting. Finally, Stella found her true calling in CSS Office Portlaoise, where she has given excellent support over the last number of years.
Stella has amazing initiative and was instrumental in setting up new work processes in all areas where she worked. Her work ethic, practical attitude and her ability to deal with people in a friendly way has led to the smooth running of the Areas Office over many years. Stella has huge expertise in ESB systems, and a wealth of knowledge about ESBN. Stella has provided advice and guidance, to many staff in Portlaoise depot and beyond over many years, she has always been willing to share her time and knowledge generously, to help her colleagues and improve their knowledge.
We know Stella won’t be bored as she has many interests ranging from her dogs, her garden, baking and indeed travelling – In her early days, she often arrived to work on her motorbike, and she also has some truck driving experience!
Stella will be hugely missed by everyone in Portlaoise, and also by all in Business Support around the country. We would like to thank Stella for her excellent work and commitment over the years. We know she will enjoy spending time with her family and we wish Stella & her husband Michael, health and happiness in all their future adventures. A retirement function for Stella will be arranged at a later date.
