Retirement of Pat O’Brien, HV Delivery & Contracting, ESB Networks. / Bríd Griffin
After a short 44 years Pat has decided the time has come to leave ESB, and give more time to his family and many interests in the world outside.
In 1973, Pat started his career in ESB as an Apprentice, and since then has worked in many parts of the organisation. Having started in the Stillorgan District, he has worked in Generation Department, Distribution Department (now Asset Management), ESBI, and Dublin South.
For the past 15 years, Pat has worked in the HV organisation, ESB Networks. His knowledge, experience, manner and character are all what made Pat to be a great Project Leader, one of the best, responsible for some of the largest and important HV Stations projects on the east coast and Dublin.
I’d like to thank Pat for his dedicated service over the 44 years, and wish him, and his family, every happiness and wellness in his retirement – his last working day being 22nd February.

Have a healthy breakfast
Winter is the perfect season for porridge. Eating a warm bowlful on a cold morning isn’t just a delicious way to start your day, it also helps you to boost your intake of starchy foods and fibre, which will give you energy and help you to feel fuller for longer, stopping the temptation to snack mid-morning.
Operation Transformation’s Free Porridge Day takes place on Saturday 28th January
Operation Transformation is teaming up with Irish oat producer Flahavan’s to give away 200,000 500g packets of oats this Saturday, 28 January. That’s enough free oats to make three million servings of porridge! See attached for more information.
