Farewell & Thanks

Mary Cahill is retiring / Neil McGuinness
Mary Cahill is retiring after almost 44 years of dedicated service to ESB. Mary’s last day working will be May 4th 2021. Mary joined ESB on 11th November 1977 and worked in many different areas of ESB before finding her true home in Fleet Tools and Equipment when it was first set up in January 2002 where she has been ever since. From her involvement in the introduction of our garage management system Tranman which she became an expert on, through to the introduction and co-ordination of fuel cards and toll tags nationally, as well as looking after the administrative duties in Cork and Tralee garages, Mary has made a great contribution to ESB. On behalf of ESB I want to thank Mary for her years of dedicated service. She is a wealth of knowledge on our business, extremely diligent in her work and a great support to her colleagues. Mary will be hugely missed throughout Fleet Tools and Equipment and the wider Networks business. We wish Mary, her husband Michael and her family and grandchildren a long, happy and healthy retirement. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions we cannot have an in person event but we hope to be able to join with Mary to mark her retirement at a later stage.

Noel Kavanagh is retiring today, Friday 30th Apr / Brian Tapley
After 39 years Noel Kavanagh, Area Manager, Dublin South will work his last day for ESB on Friday 30th April. Given the current COVID-19 restrictions it won’t be possible to hold a farewell event in person.

On behalf of ESB I want to thank Noel for his years of dedicated service to ESB. He is a wealth of knowledge, extremely good humoured and a great friend and colleague to many. We wish you a long and healthy retirement with plenty of golf and trips to far flung places.
