MPF Election of Trustees / Noreen Ryan
I would like to thank everyone who voted for me in the recent MPF Election. I am humbled by the level of support that I received and I very much look forward to my new role as an MPF Trustee. A special ‘Thank You’ to everyone that put up posters on my behalf.

Bereavements

Michael Mannion RIP ( father of Thomas Mannion NT Killybegs) / Seamus Reilly, EAP Sligo

The death has occured of Michael Mannion, Ardlongfield, Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal, at his residence ( Father of Thomas Mannion, NT Killybegs) Funeral arrangements as follows;
Remains will repose on Thursday from 10am until 10pm; house private on Friday morning. Remains will arrive in St. Joseph’s Church, The Rock, Ballyshannon for 11am Funeral Mass on Friday followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
Family flowers only; donations in lieu, if desired, to North West Hospice Sligo c/o any family or Peter Carty Funeral Director, Garrison. Entrance to the Wake will be from the Higginstown Road with exit by Clontyseer and Station Road.
Our Thoughts & Prayers are with Thomas & his Family at this sad time. May His Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

UCD EGA DIstinguished Graduate Award Ceremony / Majella Henchion
UCD’s Engineering Graduates Association is holding its Distinguished Graduate Award Ceremnoy tomorrow, Thursday 6th September, 6:30pm in the Minerva Room, RDS (The Royal Dublin Society), Merrion Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.
There will be a wine and canapé reception to honour the 2018 award winner. Following Pat O’Doherty’s recognition last year it will be interesting to hear who has been selected this year.
In addition, the Principal of UCD College of Engineering and Architecture, Prof David FitzPatrick and Dean of UCD Architecture, Prof Hugh Campbell, will make a special presentation on the future vision for UCD College of Engineering and Architecture. If you wish to attend please let me know as I have 9 free tickets to give away.
