Health, Safety & Wellbeing

International Women’s Day / mailto:Esbhealthservices@esb.ie
International Women’s Day took place on Sunday 8th March.

This is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.
We’d like to use this as an opportunity to remind women of services that are available through ESB, as well as the free health services specifically available to them externally.
ESB provides occupational health including cardiovascular screening and annual flu vaccinations, as well services such as health and wellbeing talks.
Our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) can provide confidential support to serving and retired staff. It helps employees deal with any personal challenges that may arise and impact on their working and personal life, giving them the assurance they need during a tough time.
ESB also offers all staff and family members a counselling service, which also deals with financial and legal queries.
Outside of ESB, national screening services available include cervical checks, breast screening and bowel screening.
If you’d like to link in with the ESB Health Services you can contact us at ESBHealthServices@esb.ie

People Leaving

Retirement of Michael Carroll, People and Organisation Development /
Having exceeded 41 (a good rugby score, a good golf stableford score and even a respectable score for an opening bat!), Michael will soon be blowing the final whistle on the ESB HR part of his life. He would be delighted if his friends and colleagues would pop this date and venue into their diaries and join him for a celebration: Trinity City Hotel, Pearse Street, Dublin 2 on the evening of Thursday 21st May 2020. Kick-off time to follow.
