Death of Peter Ahern, father of Noreen O’Brien, Business Support, Limerick / Stephen Conway
The death has occurred of Peter Ahern, father of our friend & colleague Noreen O’Brien, Business Support, Limerick
Peacefully, at Milford Care Centre, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Mary and loving father of Peter, Marie Murphy (Corbally, Limerick) and Noreen O’Brien (Birdhill). Sadly missed by his heartbroken family, brother Tom, sister Mary Jane (Doyle), daughter-in-law, sons-in law, grandchildren, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
May he Rest in Peace Reposing on Sunday at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Nenagh from 6.30pm until 8.30pm. Funeral arriving on Monday to St. Mary’s Church, Portroe for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in Castletown Cemetery, (Portroe).

Michael McGloin RIP – Ex Supr. Bundoran/Killybegs ( father of John McGloin, & Grandfather of Michael McGloin, Networks Athlone & brother to Willie McG / Seamus Reilly, EAP Sligo

The death has occurred of Michael Mc Gloin aged 85 years
Late of Maugheramore, Glenade, Kinlough Co Leitrim- Ex Supr. Bundoran/Killybegs
(father of John McGloin & Grandfather of Michael McGloin both Networks, Athlone & brother of Willie McGloin Ex Staff Sligo) Predeceased by his wife Vera, sisters Alice and Mary and brother Joe.
Loving father of John and Enda, daughter-in-law Cece, grandchildren Christopher, Shaun, Michael, Chloe, Kyle and Lee. His sisters Bridie, Kate and Una and brother Willie, brother-in-laws and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, all his extended family, neighbours and friends. Sadly missed by Declan, staff and his many friends in the Oakwood Nursing Home. Funeral arrangements as follows;
Reposing at the Oakwood Nursing Home on Monday from 5.30pm to 9.30pm
Removal of Remains on Tuesday arriving at St Michael’s Church Glenade for funeral Mass at 12noon. Burial afterwards to Conwell Cemetery, Glenade.
Our Thoughts & Prayers are with John, Michael, Willie & all their families at this sad time. May His Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

ESB Science Blast Limerick / Mark Bennett
Ever wondered which spuds cook the best? How to win the GAA All Ireland Hurling final or if boys are better than girls??
These are just three of the many questions that will be answered by schools participating in ESB Science Blast in Limerick next week (May 21st – 23rd)
ESB Science Blast empowers children to discover the science behind a simple question that interests them. Next week, In Mary Immaculate College, over 120 schools from across Munster will be showcasing their scientific findings each day.
The children would love to have lots of visitors come and ask them questions about their projects, so any ESB staff* based in the Limerick area that would be interested in coming down any day between 10am and 2pm to see what ESB Science Blast is all about, just email mark.bennett@esb.ie and we will add your name to the guest list. *Attendance is subject to managers discretion

Retirement of Mick O’Mahony /
After almost 40 years’ service in various parts of the Generation Business, Mick has decided to retire at the end of May. Over his career Mick has made a huge contribution to ESB in a variety of different roles including Ferbane, Great Island and Moneypoint Generating Stations, as well as in Technical Services Generation HO, Strategy, Safety Engineering & Environment, Asset Management, Independent Generation and Asset Development. Mick would like to invite his many friends and colleagues across ESB to a relaxed and informal farewell in Doheny & Nesbitt’s, (main bar on the 1st floor), Baggot Street on Thursday, 30th May from 17:30 onwards.
