5K Challenge – all set for this evening? / ElectricAid
The 5k Challenge is taking place this evening, Thursday, 20 June at 6:30pm.
A reminder of the important details:
• Clontarf Waterfront on Thursday, 20th June starting at 6.30pm sharp • All employees can use the parking, changing facilities and showers in Gateway • Registration is in Clasac, Alfie Byrne Road, from 5pm to 6pm • Food and refreshments will be served after the run in Clasac. • contact athletic.club@esb.ie if you have an issue/query not answerred above

Death of Tommy (Jock) McLean ex Ringsend/North Wall /
It is with regret that I inform you of the passing of our friend and colleague Tommy (Jock) McLean ex Ringsend/North Wall. May he Rest in Peace. Funeral details as follows:
McLean Tommy (Jock), 18th June 2019, Maplewood Ave, Springfield and formerly of ESB North Wall and Ringsend; suddenly surrounded by his loving family in the kind care of the staff of Tallaght Hospital; beloved husband of the late Maureen, loving father of Alastair, Chris, Thomas and Heather and adored grandad of Karl, Djani, Nicole, Niamh, Ethan, Bella, Áine, Shayla, Evan and Zara. Sadly missed by his loving children, daughters-in-law Caroline, Louise and Caroline, grandchildren, brothers Joe, Jimmy and Derek, sister Maria, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends, especially his dear friend Una. May Tommy rest in peace
Reposing at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, The Square, Tallaght (opp Tallaght Stadium) on Sunday from 12 noon to 4pm with family in attendance from 2pm to 4pm. Funeral Mass on Monday at 10am in St. Mark’s Church, Springfield and afterwards for burial in Deansgrange Cemetery.

Retirement of Ger Lydon, ESB Networks Galway / Jarlath Doyle
On a snowy Monday in April 1977,Ger Lydon entered the building at Sean Mulvoy Road, Galway. After over 4 decades of loyal service Ger has decided to exit the building on Friday 21st June 2019.
Ger has worked as a Linesman in Galway/Connemara/Tuam, CS Supervisor Galway, CS Supervisor Loughrea/Ballinasloe and more recently as PD Supervisor Galway/Tuam.
In the next chapter of his life, Ger will divide his time between family, fishing, hill walking, travelling and GAA, however he will continue in his most important role as the legendary “Santa Claus” to the children of Galway staff!
To mark his retirement, Ger invites all his colleagues both past and present to celebrate with him and his family in the Clayton Hotel, Ballybrit, Galway on Friday 21st June at 8 30 pm.

Tonight’s the night! Retirement of Ray Aherne, ESB Networks / Walter Keady
To celebrate Ray’s retirement, a function will be held in the Grand Canal Hotel, Upper Grand Canal Street, Dublin 4, this evening, Thursday, 20th of June at 5.30pm.
Ray would like to invite his many current and former colleagues and friends from across ESB to join him on the night. * * *
Retirement of Ray Aherne, Fleet, Tools & Equipment, ESB Networks
After more than 40 years of service, Ray Aherne has decided to hang up his PPE and focus on his passion for writing!
Over his years in ESB, Ray has made many friends while working in Civil Works Dept., Manpower Department, Central Stores, Dundalk, Cavan, HR Networks and finally Fleet Tools and Equipment.
To celebrate his retirement, a function will be held in the Grand Canal Hotel, Upper Grand Canal Street, Dublin 4, this Thursday, 20th of June at 5.30pm.
Ray would like to invite his many current and former colleagues and friends from across ESB to join him on the night.
