People Leaving

Arthur Schmid says thank you. / Mick Waters
As you may know, I recently retired from ESB Networks after 38 very happy years and I leave with nothing but wonderful memories of working with such great people in a company I will always be so very proud to say I worked for.
I want to send a huge thank you for the wonderful send off at my retirement party on July 6th.
Thank you to each and every one who came along on the night and who had travelled some distances to be there. I hope you all enjoyed meeting friends and had fun. Thank you all for the all the good wishes, cards, phone calls, e-mails It was a night I and my family will never ever forget. As I look forward in so many different ways to the next phase of my life, I WILL miss the wonderful times I have spent with you all.
On behalf of myself and Mary and family, a sincere thank you and I wish each and every one of you the very best in the future. Please keep in touch … I would genuinely love to hear from you and we will definitely meet up again. See ye soon!! Cheers and kind regards, Arthur

Retirement – Dave Sweeney NTC Portlaoise /
Our colleague Dave Sweeney has decided to retire after 37 years of dedicated service in ESB. Having spent the past 18 years in NTC Portlaoise, mostly in the HV Test Lab, Dave has tested his very last pair of Rubber Gloves and inspected his last IAD, and is looking forward to pursuing his passion for outdoor activities of fishing and hunting. Dave will be leaving next Thursday 26th July and typical of his quiet nature, he wants no fanfare or surprise retirement function.
We all wish him good health and happiness in his retirement and also extend our best wishes to his wife Pauline and family. If you would like to make a contribution towards Dave’s retirement please contact any of the following:
