Fundraising

Dublin Marathon 2018 – Make A Wish Ireland – Running for Séimí Brennan /
Hi Everyone myself anf team Séimí are running the marathon this weekend in aid of Make a Wish Ireland. Please read our story and please donate if you can.https://give.everydayhero.com/ie/2-marathons-in-2-months-4s-im
Our story has changed as it did last September when Eoin joined the trio to make all the difference and run for Séimí 💙💙
This September we our absolutely delighted and honoured to be joined by Séimí’s mum Orna on the fundraising trail for Make A Wish Ireland ⭐️ Orna will join Barry and Eoin in running the Dublin Marathon for this great charity 💙 We have already beaten our €5,000 target and hope to smash this further again😊
A reminder all money will result in wishes granted in the name of our Super Hero Séimí Brennan 💙⭐️💙⭐️💙
Séimí Brennan was a super hero. Séimí inspired us to run the Dublin marathon in 2017 in his honour raising nearly €12,000 and every penny of that was used by Make a Wish Ireland to grant precious wishes to special kids in this little hero’s name!! 2018 Challenge:
This year Eoin and Barry have taken on a bigger challenge to help keep the wishes coming in! Craziness or madness has set in and we have decided to run 2 marathons in just 2 months!!! We will tackle the high hills of Dingle in September and Streets of Dublin in October 2018!! We are willing to put the hard yards in and train hard to try do Séimí proud and most importantly raise as much money for Make a Wish Ireland as possible! Séimí’s story:
Séimí was diagnosed with a brain tumour just a few weeks after he was born. Séimí battled bravely through surgeries, chemo and all his treatment. He charmed everyone who was lucky enough to meet with his cheeky smile.
Make a wish organised for Séimí, his Mammy Orna, Daddy Dave and little sister Nia to go away on holidays sadly just before they were due to leave Séimí became too unwell to travel. On the 3rd of September 2017 Séimí aged 3 years, shed his demons and grew his angel wings. He is now at rest.
All € raised by our page will be donated to Make A Wish Ireland in the name Séimí Brennan and all wishes granted with this will be in little Séimí’s name. Please help us hit our €5,000 target! 4Séimí
Thanks all
Barry & Eoin 👍

More info:
The Millenial Fund supports Down Syndrome Ireland EmployAbility Programme
What is the Millenial Fund?
A new charity event has been set up this year called the Millennial Fund, where the goal is to get at least 100 young people (college students/young graduates mostly) to raise €1000+ each for charity, in whichever way they wish, between now and November. The goal for the Millennial Fund is to try to increase the contributions year on year and have a different nominated charity each year. This year the nominated charity is Down Syndrome Ireland’s EmployAbility programme.
Down Syndrome EmployAbility Programme
This programme assists young people with Down syndrome in getting jobs and gaining independence. Today in Ireland, less than 5% of people with Down syndrome are employed full time. This is a truly shocking figure especially when you compare it to other places in the world – in Washington DC over 80% of people with Down syndrome are in full time employment. All money raised goes directly to Down Syndrome Ireland.
My name is Rachel Gallagher, I’m a millennial and I have volunteered to take part in fundraising for the Millennial Fund – so Please come along for a well-deserved morning coffee and an opportunity to lend your support.
