Bereavements

Acknowledgement by Padraig Dooley /
On behalf of myself and my brother Michael,
We wish to thank everybody for so many expressions of sympathy on the recent passing of our mother Hannah. We really appreciated the support shown to us by those who visited the house for our mother`s wake, attended the funeral mass, sent messages of sympathy and offered their condolences in so many other ways. Thank you also for the many cards and flowers received that meant so much to us in the beautiful send-off that she received.
You will be forever in our thoughts for your kindness at this very sad time in our lives. Best Regards, Padraig

Retirement of Matty Conroy & Peter Keogh, Stores, Finglas / Willie Brennan
Our two trusty storekeepers Matty Conroy and Peter Keogh have announced their decision to retire from their ESB job and move on to newer pastures.
Both began their ESB careers back in the 1970’s in Head Office before making their way at different times to ESB Networks and Dublin North.
Since the late nineties they have worked tirelessly side by side in the stores in Finglas and in spite of various limitations imposed by the system at different times they have always managed to keep the crews on the road with the appropriate tools and materials. We didn’t ask how but we always understood they had their ways and means!
Matty and Peter are having a joint retirement function in The Gresham Hotel on Friday 10th May and everyone is welcome along to reminisce and to send the two lads on their way with our very best wishes.
We hope to make a presentation to them on the night and anyone wishing ot be associated should contact one of those below who will gratefully acknowledge every contribution. • Willie Brennan – Mulingar
• Eddie Delaney – Finglas
• Jason McGrath – Finglas
• Joe Gavaghan – Finglas
Many thanks in advance for your contribution to this collection and hopefully we will see a lot of you on the 10th in The Gresham.
