People Leaving
Reminder James Foley – Retirement / Sarah Claxton
The inimitable James Foley is leaving the building! James is hanging up his boots after a long and colourful career encompassing Waterford, Accounts and HR, Business Services and Corporate, culminating in his fantastic and successful 15-year stewardship of ElectricAid and later, the Energy for Generations Fund. He made so many friends (and probably a few others!) along the way, at every level in the company. We’ll all miss his wit, camaraderie, tall tales and commitment to the cause.
James’ farewell is in Clontarf Rugby Club, Castle Avenue, at 5.00pm on Thursday 31st of May, and as with so many ElectricAid events – you’re all invited!
Anybody who would like to make a contribution to James’ presentation, please contact Sean Walsh Corporate Centre or Niamh O’Neill BSC.

Reminder: Bernie Healy, ESB Corporate Affairs is retiring
After over 40 years of wonderful service to ESB, our good friend and colleague Bernie Healy will be retiring in June.
Bernie has made an immense contribution to ESB across a number of locations and functions. However, it is as Editor of EM and Manager Corporate Events where Bernie brought a level of professionalism and excellence which became the hallmark of her role. Over the last 17 years Bernie has developed EM into a wonderful newspaper which is very popular with staff and retirees. Her management of high-profile corporate events has had a profound and lasting impact on both staff and external stakeholders.
To celebrate Bernie’s career a function will be held in the Herbert Park Hotel, Ballsbridge on the evening of June 7th at 6.00pm.
Bernie has met many staff from all parts of the company and it would be great to see friends, colleagues and retirees there on the evening to celebrate her retirement and the start of a new and exciting chapter in her life. Looking forward to seeing you all there.
